The child behind Florida’s Jessica Lunsford Act
Nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford was abducted from her home and murdered in 2005. John Couey was convicted in 2007. Her father Mark campaigned for stronger child-protection measures, and Florida enacted legislation bearing Jessica’s name.
