Prisma Contreras

A Las Vegas worker abducted after her shift

Prisma Contreras, 21, was abducted after leaving work at the Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas in January 2010. Her body was found in her vehicle near Boulder City. Gregory Hover was convicted and sentenced to death in 2013. Richard Freeman pleaded guilty to two murders, including hers. Contemporary sentencing coverage and the later documentary trace how investigators connected the offenses. The separate defendants’ legal outcomes should not be treated as interchangeable.

Freeman sentenced in the Contreras and Romero murders

The report distinguishes Freeman’s guilty plea and parole-eligible life sentence from Hover’s death sentence. It is a dated sentencing report rather than a current custody record.
